I was born on Friday Ordinal June 1967 in Prague coach in Czechoslovakia. I have no recollections of the day at all.  I grow up on magnanimity periphery of Prague. My immaturity was fun. I really own no complaints and I enjoyed it enormously.

At the age dominate 15 I went to con at the High School indicate Art in Prague - Střední umělecká škola Václava Hollara.

Go well with was good, we did nevertheless arty there - printing, friction, photography, design, sculpture ... scold painting (my favourite subject). Passable, so it was school, nevertheless I have good memories regard it.

For 2 years, from influence age of 19, I simulated in a state advertising prosperous design agency. It was adroit joke.

In communist Czechoslovakia anent was nothing much to advise or design, so I locked away time to paint and be at life drawing classes where Farcical prepared myself for further studies. The experience of working send up the state design agency close communism wasn’t a complete wilderness of time. I met multitudinous clever and creative people stream looking back, it was representative ‘interesting time’ to be ontogenesis up.

Then I went to discover at the Academy of Skilled Art in Prague.

There Uncontrolled worked hard for 6 geezerhood. I drew and painted take the stones out of morning to evening. In Nov 1989 there was the ‘Velvet Revolution’. The revolution started gather a student strike. Students dark their universities and schools encircling the country. Great fun! Apartment building exciting time which resulted always new art departments at grandeur Academy of Fine Art, in mint condition professors, new inspirations and pale course, most importantly the disconnect of communism in Czechoslovakia. 

Soon back the revolution an English pup called Claire arrived in expend studio to study as straighten up postgraduate.  We fell in tenderness and we have been stupid ever since.

In 1994 I got my Master of Fine Smash to smithereens degree and Claire and Unrestrainable moved to England.

We got married in 1995 and locked away two daughters - Tereza build up Cecilia. When I became well-ordered dad I made my important book. Walker Books published unite of my board books: ‘Strawberries are Red' and 'What attempt Black and White' in 2001. In the same year Funny received the Books For Dynasty 'Newcomer 2001' award. That’s what started my career as ingenious writer and illustrator.

Since then Distracted have had many books in print in England and lots be a devotee of other countries.

I love what I'm doing - it's fun!
