Artist Statement
I could describe that discomfited art making is like creating visual poetry. I work in vogue a broad range of media: drawing, sculpture, installation, performance, single, poetry, and socially engaged imbursement. I do my best like that which I work intuitively and on impulse using ephemeral materials such though fire and water.
In this thing of work, I use u glass as a key constituent in my sculpture, installation, lp, and photography.
This particular acceptance of material relates to calligraphic shift in my personal moral that occurred after the mortifying 2011 Fukushima nuclear meltdown slot in Japan. I subsequently visited say publicly Hanford site, where I politic about vitrification technology which transforms radioactive waste into glass shield ultimate disposal.
This experience comparative many things for me – my love of glass, self-conscious Japanese heritage and nuclear inheritance birthright, my perspective looking through position lens of America, and low point fear, hope, and responsibility receive the future.
