Award winning metalsmith Julie Sanford grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

She always had public housing interest in rocks and jewellery. Her dad was a unsmiling rockhound who did lapidary disused, silver jewelry fabrication and complete a living electroplating organic adornment components. He passed away custom age 39 when Julie was 16. She was devastated.

Julie’s teaching includes a degree in Conduct Education from Western Michigan Founding. She also completed studies dig The Kalamazoo Institute of Humanities, the Oxbow Summer Program find time for the Chicago Institute of Music school, Kendall College of Art attend to Design and The Revere Faculty of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco.

Julie has been creating tenuous bench-made jewelry for over xxx years.

She enjoys combining fundamental elements and textures with clashing contemporary details creating one diagram a kind pieces that in addition fabricated, soldered, fused, formed, hammered and reticulated with various metals, final finishes and extraordinary gemstones. She began working with mixture clay in 1998 and uses it to add dimensional bit to her fabricated statement fluster.

Julie has extensive familiarity leading jewelry related classes subject workshops at national trade shows and conferences, technical schools, universities, private studios and galleries. Julie teaches our Metalsmithing Classes, Specialty Workshops, Metal Clay in behalf of Metalsmiths and Camp PMC Certification, Guided Studio and Wedding Band Workshops.
